I know that they're still new, and that experience with these is pretty limited, but does anyone out there have operational experience with running Intel DC S3500 SSD's behind hardware RAID adapters? I'm not interested in AHCI/software RAID setups. I (and everyone else running Intel 320 SSD's) am looking at these as successors in hardware RAID and want to see how they do.
Please post some comments, and I'll round them up into another blog post. If you're like us (and most places), you want to look at traffic from time to to time...or all the time. Juniper doesn't let you create a "span" port or mirror port on their routers -- only on their switches. You can't get any of the layer 2 stuff, only layer 3 and up (family inet).
