Like many of you, I was pretty excited after T-Mobile made the Android 4.4.2 update (KitKat) available to the HTC One. After installing it, things seemed OK at first, and I was pleased with the new Sense tweaks.....Then my battery started to die. Rapido. With my phone in my hand and my wifi base-station 8 feet away, I could see the One constantly losing association and reconnecting. I use Wifi Calling at home, so this would drop that, reconnect, fire up the GPS, and register for Wifi Calling again. Over and over and over. This was the cause of my battery drain. Luckily, all of that is in the past. The work around is dumb and so is the bug. If you change your device name to "HTC One" in Wi-Fi Direct settings, this bug will go away. Your wifi will return to normal and all will be good with your battery usage. I've included a photo for people who don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm STILL attempting to resolve the Reg90 issue. Had to get number changed, tmobile said use same SIM card, but remove it for a lil bit, put it back in the s4 and POWER ON- and now I'm wondering did I power off as instructed when I tapped POWER OFF, or am I just offering the s4 a lil FUKN SMOKE break? Lil nap time or what? I've heard when it rains IT POURS. WELL there's a blizzard in my lil world RIGHT THIS MOMENT. IN FACT FOR wow- a lot longer THAN THAT, TECHNICALLY! I hope just ONE THING in my life GOES RIGHT OR JUST OKAY today. If things don't start lookin up, idk wtf .... Comments are closed.
