Some of this post is a little old, but I just wanted to post pics that I took while converting my stock EVGA GTX570 cooling to using Koolance's VID-NX580 waterblock. Not much to write about, so here's a gallery of pics.
I was working on setting up Pacemaker here at Weebly for an internal project. Everything was going smoothly until I started to setup STONITH. When I tried to add the device I was greeted with errors like this:
ERROR: stonith-server1: parameter passwd does not exist ERROR: stonith-server1: parameter ipaddr does not exist ERROR: stonith-server1: parameter hostname does not exist And on and on and on. Googling around, you'll see a bunch of red herring messages about RHEL6 and something about their own STONITH agents. But hey, I'm using CentOS 5 and using the clusterlabs.com RPM's. That shouldn't bother me right? Well, sorta. The error condition is a false for RHEL6, but it is indicative of the same cause. Pacemaker can't find the right library files. The command line tools all work fine, but the Pacemaker CRM pukes on it. The cause? lib vs lib64. Yes, people are still messing this up after all these years (especially Red Hat packagers -- *ruby*). Symlink /usr/lib64/stonith to /usr/lib/stonith, then restart corosync on your nodes. Once you do that, you'll be able to add the correct stonith resources. This is a pretty big mistake. I'm honestly quite shocked they made it. Just wanted to spread the good word about the fantastic San Francisco event that is Stern Grove. I've been a few times in years past, so this year I donated some moolah to their cause. Money well spent. This year's lineup has been great -- Stephanie and I went to see Aaron Neville on Sunday. We both really enjoyed the concert. Just look at the smile on this girl! Anyway, I encourage everyone to check it out and give them some loot if you do enjoy it. Hell, give them some loot anyway. The concerts are free, so they really do need donations to keep operating. Plus, if you donate over a certain amount, you get reserved access to these cool picnic tables and on site parking.
Stern Grove website Just a FYI that I slightly updated the etoufee recipe. I cut the amount of garlic in half (smudge on my original notes) and specified how much salt, cayenne, and black pepper I use. Other than that, everything is the same.
We've been using XFS with CentOS for a while now, but we always created the volumes post-kickstart as part of our puppet runs. After hearing that CentOS/RHEL 5.4 would support XFS in Kickstart, we gave it a try. It didn't really work the way we thought it would and started looking around in Google results. Sadly, this information isn't really written down anywhere, so here it is. We're not doing anything novel here, I just thought that I'd post it to save people a lot of time and trouble. Keep in mind that we don't create our root partitions with XFS (we still use EXT3 for that), but we do create our "data" partitions using XFS.
parted -s /dev/sdb mklabel gpt parted -s /dev/sdb unit s mkpart primary 2048 100%
rpm -Uvhi /mnt/tmpnfs/src/xfsdump-2.2.46-1.el5.centos.x86_64.rpm rpm -Uvhi /mnt/tmpnfs/src/xfsprogs-2.9.4-1.el5.centos.x86_64.rpm
mkdir /data /sbin/mkfs.xfs -f -d su=64k,sw=3 -l size=32m,su=16k -L /data /dev/sdb1 Thought I’d share this catfish courtbouillon recipe that I cooked last night for Robin. It’s not her recipe, but she gets naming rights since I cooked it for her. A few caveats here before I get started. First, nobody in my family cooked a courtbouillon at all. I was first exposed to it by the cook at our duck camp and instantly took to it. Second, I kinda winged this one. I had an idea of the basics and just went with what felt right. I’m sure there will be some coonasses out there who will shake their head and say no that’s not right. Hey, maybe, but this is my gig, and I thought it turned out just as I remembered. Lastly, courtbouillon is pronounced "coo-bee-yawn" in south Louisiana. Not to be confused with couyon. Proper French pronunciations can also take a hike.
